This website is a article that gives the opposing view on the war on drugs. They talk about how the reason were having more drug crime is because the law prohibits drugs. It gives their views on the subject and has many links to other websites that can give us more incite on why the Drug War is bad. Its good to know the other parties view on things even when it can possible be totally bogus.

This website gives the statistics on the war. Charts and graphs of everything to do with the war on drugs. The deaths, the costs, the estimated life span, the crime rate increase etc.

Those sound like good sources. I think it would be neat for you to go talk to an officer about their experience with the drug world.
I do alot of work running down tweakers, potheads, etc. So this topic is very interesting to me. As for getting opposing viewpoints, it's a good practice but be careful not to go into the research relying to much on your personal bias. Keep an open mind and try to see both sides of the issue.
